Imogen Newman
I am a hard working and sociable individual who values building meaningful connections with others. A family oriented person, I have two children, one in Sixth Form and the other pursuing a career in farming. In 2022, I founded Imogen Newman Home Help in response to many requests to help loved ones, provide companionship and day-to-day support.

Relevant Experience
Samaritans, Listening Volunteer
As a Samaritans Listening Volunteer, I provide confidential support to those in distress, offering a safe, non-judgmental space to talk.
Friends of Chernobyl’s Children charity, Trustee & Host
I have been actively involved with FOCC for over five years, serving as a Trustee on the committee. As a family, we hosted a child each summer for five years. In 2019, I traveled to Belarus on behalf of the charity, visiting the families of the children in the program.
Age UK, Befriender
I supported clients across Cumbria and South Lakes by visiting them at home and regularly checking in on the phone. I provided companionship and emotional support, helping to alleviate feelings of loneliness and isolation. I am still in contact with a number of clients I now consider friends.
Outside work
I enjoy walking, cooking, reading, and attending theatre and music events. I also love traveling and gardening. I am often out exploring the area with our dog, Rusty. Some of my clients enjoy meeting her too!
