We feel ourselves very lucky

We feel ourselves very lucky to have found such a caring and compassionate person as Imogen to provide companionship and support for Mum.

She supported Mum, who has moderate Alzheimer’s, in attending events and activities, and took her out for interesting trips. We have lots of lovely photos of Mum enjoying herself in the various places they visited.

As we live a distance away, Imogen’s help with things such as shopping, picking up prescriptions, and taking Mum to appointments made our lives a lot easier. We always found her supportive and willing to help.

Fortunate in finding Imogen

Our sister had Alzheimer’s and we were fortunate in finding Imogen at just the right time to enable us to keep her at home for as long as possible. We found Imogen to be understanding and sympathetic to our sister’s needs, treating her with respect and patience.

Imogen’s became a friend, providing company each day with a welcome smile and a chat that our sister otherwise wouldn’t have had. Imogen also encouraged her to focus on her memories and introduced several aids to help her cope with day to day life as things got harder for her, providing support when we couldn’t and ensuring some consistency for her last days at home.

We won’t forget Imogen’s kindness and compassion, not just for our sister but also for us.

Right from the start Imogen listened

When my Father started to need more day-to-day support, we were very fortunate that a friend recommended that we speak to Imogen, who lives locally in the village of Arnside.

Right from the start Imogen listened to our concerns for my Dad’s day to day support needs and wasted no time in getting to know my Dad, his family history, his career and just getting to know his personality and how he ticks. Imogen by nature is a wonderfully caring person and looks after her customers almost like long lost members of her own family. She exhibits a genuine interest in the people she cares for.

Heartwarming companionship

Imogen helped to support my parents in their own own home providing wonderful meals and heartwarming companionship. It was like a best friend coming in to visit!

Being local, Imogen was able to provide stimulating conversations about people and places known to my parents, and was always willing to run small errands. Imogen also took a great interest in our family which my mum particularly enjoyed. In short, it was kind, considerate and loving care
